what causes flu

WHAT CAUSES FLU

Flu or influenza is a viral infection that attacks the nose, throat, and lungs. Flu sufferers will experience fever, headaches, colds, nasal congestion, and cough.

Many people think the flu is the same as a common cold. Although the symptoms are similar, both conditions are caused by different types of viruses. Flu symptoms are more severe and attack suddenly, whereas the symptoms of a common cold cough tend to be mild and appear gradually. Flu is a disease that is easily transmitted to others, especially in the first 3-4 days after the patient is infected. Even in some cases, people with flu can transmit the disease before symptoms appear.

A person can catch the flu if accidentally inhaling a splash of saliva in the air, which is released by the patient when sneezing or coughing. In addition, touching the mouth or nose after holding an object that is affected by a splash of saliva, can also be a means of transmission of the flu virus.
Symptoms of flu include fever, runny nose, nasal congestion, and headaches. Although it is the same as the symptoms of a common cold cough, flu symptoms are more severe and often strike suddenly.

Immediately see a doctor if the above symptoms do not improve after two weeks, or improve but then worsen. Emergency measures need to be taken if flu symptoms are accompanied by shortness of breath or loss of consciousness.
